“I’ve started a new career, and I’ve always had ambitions to start a business. I’ve looked at various options and I’m wondering if I should continue on my current career path, or if I should start a business. If I do start a business, which type of business should I pursue?” Anthony
Anthony, congratulations on your new career!
That’s a tremendous step forward—exciting but probably a little overwhelming. Stretching outside your comfort zone is where everything happens. I would suggest you first take the time to find your footing where you are now, which is about six months to a year. Remember, we’re always exactly where we’re meant to be at any given moment. Your career will help you develop old skills and add new ones and offer you opportunities relevant to running your own business. Pay close attention and take notes – not kidding!
If you always had ambitions to start a business, that’s a great sign.
It means your spirit pushes you to go in that direction. You’ve got to trust your intuition. And now is the perfect time to start, rather than waiting for everything to be “just right.” It will never be the ideal time, and there will never be enough money or time. The important thing is to take action. The saying always goes, “Don’t quit your day job,“ while that’s wise advice, you can undoubtedly begin building your business on the side. Start by investing an hour a day—researching, planning, and working on it. Even if it’s just that one hour, it’s a start, and the more you listen to your heart and follow those instincts, the more you’ll see things align. Learn as you do it ~ and your self-confidence will grow. You’ll know precisely the right time; a window of opportunity will appear to jump in with both feet.
When deciding on the type of business to start, listen closely to what excites you.
What sparks your passion? What do you talk about constantly? What are you naturally drawn to? Follow your instincts. Don’t start a business based on what you think will make you the most money. The most successful companies are the ones that truly resonate with the heart. It’s the one that makes you feel alive and brings you joy, and it’s a joy to share with others. I didn’t start my journey thinking it would be the most profitable path. I knew I had a gift and strongly desired to share it with others. And now, here I am, decades later, doing what I love professionally, and I enjoy connecting with people like you. One business idea that comes to mind for you is in the real estate industry; or a business that supports the industry. If that’s crossed your mind, it’s worth exploring. There are many ways to get into real estate without investing a lot of your money upfront; training, certifications, and mentorships. Many programs and opportunities exist, and people are already successfully navigating this space that can lead your way. Start by joining groups.
Finally, I sense that the entrepreneurial spirit runs in your family in one form or another ~ and you’re catching the bug. Trust yourself, follow your heart, and you ambitions to start means you must take action. You’ve got this—you’re on the right path! 🌟 I recommend reading my other channeled blog, called Your Spirit Message for more insight to your entrepreneurial path:
