Hello, Laura~ I hope your family has recovered from Covid and all is well with you. I have a spirited story for you! 

I was dusting bookshelves on the day before Thanksgiving. On my shelves are books and framed family photographs. On the lower shelf is an atomic clock. 

I pick up each photo and dust under it, then dust the photo frame, as well. On this particular shelf is a favorite picture of my beloved, and terribly missed, mom. As I dusted the other photos, I looked at her picture and talked to her…. telling her how much I wished she was here… and that I missed the old days when our family was all together. Many years ago, we drove my mom out of state to spend Thanksgiving weekend at my sister’s house. 

The instant I touched my mom’s photo to dust, the atomic clock screeched loudly and registered no time – just four dashes. The clock registered no time for at least five minutes.  I choose to believe it was a sign that my mom was with me in spirit.  

For anyone unfamiliar with an atomic clock, I included a description; An atomic clock is a clock device that uses a hyperfine transition frequency in the microwave or electron transition frequency in the optical or ultraviolet region of the electromagnetic spectrum of atoms as a frequency standard for its timekeeping element.
